The Story of Selyn

Founded in 1991, Selyn sarted their work with 15 women in the village of Wanduragala in Kurunegala, central Sri Lanka.

Today they are Sri Lanka’s only Fair Trade Guaranteed handloom company that engages nearly 2000 members of the traditional community of handloom weavers bringing to you products handmade with 100 % cotton and infinite measures of skill and devotion.

Committed to Fair Trading practices, they hope not only to empower their members financially but to also create a way of life within which they are comfortable.

Selyn is more than a handloom company; they are a Sri Lankan community !
